Dishes the Goods on The Dreaded Gotcha Bird |
The
Following Interview was conducted at Indian Glen during Dusk.

RRS:
Hello Wally. We’re posting the first website pic of The Dreaded
"Gotcha Bird" over at the RRS.
Wally:
Slick ain't he?
RRS:
Yes, we have to admit he's awfully fast. So he's a 'guy' Gotcha?
Wally:
Sure, he's too young to be interested in the opposite Gotcha just
now. That's why you
are always hearing of so many pinched buns lately. At this age he's
just like his Ole Man Baxter was.
RRS:
Baxter?
Wally:
Oh yes. They're from a long line of the "Gotcha" family.
RRS:
Then you know Baxter's son personally?
Wally:
Not that I tell everyone I meet that but yeah I know 'em. Do I Win
Something?
RRS:
Not just yet. Does he have a name of his own?
Wally:
Of course how else could he sign for his mail?
RRS:
Well, what is it?
Wally:
Gilbert, Gilbert Gotcha. Kinda "catchy" ain't it.
RRS:
Then you are aware of all the pinching, wedgies and pants-stealing
he's known for?
And approve of it?
Wally:
Ahh, it's not for me to knock someone else's hobbies. One time he
swiped Mad Mountain Mike's
pants during a hiking trip. The next day, MMM had a day long hike,
buck-naked to his car because he
normally goes "commando" anyway. That was good for some
laughs around the forest for a week.
RRS:
Hum boy, talk about getting back to nature.
Wally:
There should be a law and I think there is.
RRS:
Anyway, back to this Gilbert Gotcha. Do you see him often?
Wally:
Every Wednesday.
RRS:
What's up with that?
Wally:
Wednesday is card night.
RRS:
So you're playing cards with him every Wednesday night?
Wally:
Sure that's the night Roscoe Raccoon raids Wilcy's Pizza and spreads
the Cheer. We have a
whole tree full of company. Even Wanda looks forward to it.
RRS:
(taking it all in) Does Gilbert try to pull anything with you guys?
Wally:
Well we're smart enough not to tempt him. When anyone needs more
Pizza or a Root Beer, they
get up from the table and walk backward to the Kitchen. So Gilbert
doesn't get that sweaty look on his face.
RRS:
Sounds like you all get along pretty good then.
Wally:
Well we do but, Peter Possum never takes his eyes off him. I think
it's a Mammal/Bird thing.
RRS:
So there's a party at your place every Wednesday, you're eating
pizza and playing what kind of cards?
Wally:
Why 'Rook' of course. My place, my rules.
RRS:
I shouldn't be surprised I guess.
Wally:
All the birds try to stick together. Every Friday we're at Rufus
Rabbit's place for some fun with hand puppets.
It's OK, just a lot of hair on the furniture. Gilbert loves that
- - kinda makes you wonder.
RRS:
Well, thanks for chatting with us Wally we appreciate it. - - -
- - - - - - - - - Wait, I feel a draft!
Wally:
Looks like Gilbert's a little early tonight.
