Kentuckian" Screensaver is presented as a sampling of both
Images and Music Associated with the Film. Because of the Standards
of the Time, Film Credits obviously
did not mention the Composer of this Feature. When we discovered
that Bernard Herrmann had Composed and Conducted the Score we decided
that a Screensaver with the

Bernard
Herrmann came to Hollywood at the request of Orson Welles, for whom
he had Scored a Vast
Number of CBS Radio Programs in New York, including the infamous
"WAR OF THE WORLDS" broadcast in
1938. His first assignment was CITIZEN KANE, which Many Critics
still consider the Finest American Film
Ever Made. He Won a 1941 Academy Award for THE DEVIL AND DANIEL
WEBSTER.
His Career includes a number of other Films you've probably heard
of:

NORTH BY NORTHWEST PSYCHO CAPE
FEAR FAHRENHEIT 451 . . . just to mention
a few.
Bernard Herrmann Died just Hours after completing the Final Recording
Sessions for his Powerful Score
for TAXI DRIVER on Christmas Eve 1975.
