October Moon is Full on the 4th (6:11am Friday), New the 18th (05:33am Sunday).
The October Moon is known as the Full Harvest Moon, this moon normally comes in Sept,
but some years it occurs in October. At the peak of harvest, farmers can work late
by the light of this Moon. Moon seems to rise at the same time each night for awhile..

Pluto has lost its seven-decade status as the ninth
and outermost planet of the Solar System, the
world's top astronomical body decided on 08-24-06,
in a ruling that will rewrite schoolbooks and reshape
notions about space topography.
"The eight planets are Mercury, Earth, Venus, Mars,
Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune," the
International Astronomical Union (IAU) declared.

As the first spacecraft to visit Pluto and its moon
Charon, NEW HORIZONS looks to unlock one of the
Solar System's Last, Great Planetary Secrets. The
NEW HORIZONS spacecraft will cross the entire span
of the Solar System and conduct flyby studies of Pluto
and Charon in 2015. Powered by 24 lbs of Plutonium,
NEW HORIZONS (the size of a piano) is the Fastest
Spacecraft built by Man ... 10 miles per second.
Click here for NASA's STARDUST Website. Launched in 1999. Reached Comet Wild 2 in 2004. By 2006 the Stardust Probe delivered captured Comet particles to Earth.
NASA's STARDUST space probe was designed to
capture the first samples of comet dust, bringing
them back to Earth. NASA says the five-meter-long
STARDUST came within 300 kilometers of the Comet
Wild-2, a ball of ice and rock measuring more than five kilometers in diameter. Passing each other at a
relative speed of 21,960 kilometers per hour.
